Last night I spent the night at Senada's house and I had the best time ever! I met up with her at her work and we walked to her home. I had 2 cups of Turkish coffee and experienced a WONDERFUL dinner of this really yummy bean and potato soup. I am going to learn how to make it, because the recipe was delicious! I had a chance to hang out with Senada, her sister, her 3 brothers, and her mother, all of whom are hilarious! We laughed so much together and thinking back, what a blessing it was to spend time with them and actually be able to communicate like we did! They speak a little English so it was very helpful, but I also had to search my brain for the scattered remnants of Albanian that I knew. All glory goes to the Father for that one, because I recalled words I didn't know were in there! :) It was encouraging to know that I was actually able to understand most of what they were saying. I have been really discouraged in trying to learn Albanian because it requires so much more time than I have to put into it, but I was shown last night that it's possible, despite what I may tell myself in all my frustration!

Senada's sweet mother!
I also had the chance to teach them how to play a game called Dutch Blitz. It was soooo funny trying to explain the rules in simplified English and broken Albanian! After about 4 practice rounds, they finally got it and we were able to play a pretty competitive game! They were so funny to play with!
